LOAN GROWTH: ENHANCE THE DECISION PROCESS

Objective:

Enhance the loan decision process by utilizing CallTrax.

Analysis:

A $350m financial institution needed to increase lending activity to borrowers with credit scores in the 620 to 660 range without diminishing asset quality.

Action:

By utilizing the Usage Scoring system available within ExecuTrax, this financial institution provided crucial calculated figures to their front-end staff, which led to more informed decisions in the loan decision process.

Results:

After building a detailed Usage Scoring point system, this institution analyzed 100 charged off loans and 100 loans which were seasoned for 2 years with no derogatory history. With the detailed score information present, they were able to make correlations between the score and repayment risk. The average usage score for “good” loans was 43% higher than that of the “bad” loans researched. These figures helped reduce delinquency.
