You may have seen news coverage regarding a security incident that impacted Marquis. We want to address it directly.

In August 2025, a vulnerability in a third-party vendor's cloud backup service was exploited by a threat actor, resulting in a security incident affecting a portion of Marquis's systems. We have since terminated use of that service.

The threat actor gained unauthorized access to a limited portion of our systems for a matter of hours before being detected and fully contained. The data involved was limited to active workbench data - information in use for ongoing customer projects - and critically, our compliance and hosted platforms were not impacted.

We responded swiftly, and every affected customer was back online and fully operational within weeks.

What followed was not just a recovery, but a transformation: we bolstered our security architecture, implemented data tokenization, and adopted a "delete first" culture that ensures we only retain client data for the minimum time necessary.
Today, our infrastructure is stronger, our roadmap is sharper, and our commitment to the financial institutions we serve has never been clearer. Additionally, we have initiated legal action related to the third-party system whose security failures contributed to the incident. Our responsibility is clear: protect our clients and strengthen our environment.

This is not just about recovery. It is about transformation and building what comes next.
